To further accelerate its rapid growth, Revology Cars, the internationally renowned manufacturer of new reproduction 1960s Ford Mustangs and Shelby GTs, has added top talent to its management team. Revology Cars founder and CEO Tom Scarpello has brought on board highly qualified personnel with experience at major OEMs, including Fiat Chrysler, Honda and Volkswagen, strengthening the company’s manufacturing and engineering capability.
Bill Huntington, director of production and manufacturing engineering, joins Revology with fifteen years background at Volkswagen, Chrysler and SF Motors in China. Huntington’s experience includes body shop management and weld process engineering at Volkswagen Group of America’s assembly plant in Chattanooga, TN. Huntington also brings experience in materials engineering, body manufacturing and automation technology from his time at Chrysler and SF Motors.
Revology’s chief engineer for product development is Aaron Wright, who comes to the company after a decade working as an engineer for Honda. As a senior design engineer for Honda R&D in Ohio, Wright’s experience includes CAD modeling, human factor and materials handling.
Jamere Taylor is Revology’s director of purchasing and supply chain management. At Fiat-Chrysler, Taylor was production control supervisor, responsible for supplier logistics and analysis, as well as parts inventory management.
Mike Day brings 20 years of experience at a large international automotive component supplier to his role as controller at Revology. Day delivers key financial reports and analysis and helps manage budgets as Revology’s expansion continues.
Revology’s marketing and communications operations are led by Yoshiko Amano. A native of Tokyo, Japan, Amano has extensive marketing experience with Hitachi and Nissan. Amano also worked with leading brands as an account supervisor at global advertising agency, Wieden+Kennedy.
“It is a huge advantage to have such a qualified management team at Revology Cars,” says Tom Scarpello. “As a low volume vehicle manufacturer, the challenges we face are similar to those faced by OEMs such as Ford and GM, so it is essential to have a management team with the experience and skill set to deal with those challenges.”
Scarpello’s own experience in the automotive industry has been key to the company’s fast paced growth. His career has included roles as leader of the Special Vehicle Team at Ford and senior management roles at Jaguar, Nissan and Infiniti brands. This extensive OEM background is apparent in the way Scarpello’s company operates, blending OEM discipline with a nimble, entrepreneurial mindset and a deep understanding of the customers’ needs and wants.
