Hi, I'm Tom Scarpello of Revology Cars, and this is car 51 - a 1965 Mustang GT Fastback in Poppy Red with black leather interior. So, the ‘65 Fastback is very special to me personally because my first car was a ‘65 Mustang Fastback. Now it was nothing like this. Obviously, didn't have a Coyote engine. It was not in good condition; in fact, it caught on fire the first time I drove it, but I learned a lot about cars from working on that car, rebuilding the engine, the transmission, brakes, the suspension, putting in new floor pans and a lot of other things. And it created a lifelong passion that I have for not just Mustangs, but all automobiles.  So fast forward to today, Revology Cars is now building a new reproduction Mustang. It's got a lot more in common with today's Mustang than it has with the Mustang of the 60s. Other than the appearance, it's basically a modern car. There’s a couple of things that I really like about this car in particular. Number one the Poppy Red exterior, so it's Poppy Red, but as you can see, it's clearly orange, and with the black GT stripe, man, it just pops really, really sharp. Then the other thing that's really cool is the Redline tires. Now the client selected these. This is something we hadn't used before; I wouldn't recommend them if you're going to go someplace in a hurry, but they look really cool, and they look really period correct.  So about two years ago, we redesigned our rear axle assembly to use the Ford 8.8-inch ring and pinion instead of the Ford nine-inch. Now, the nine-inch has obviously been around a long, long time. It's a very tough and durable unit. It’s inexpensive. It's really the go-to rear end for most hot rodders and Resto-mod builders. But the problem with the nine-inch is it's just too noisy. There's just too much gear noise. That's a whine.  When you get to 58 miles an hour, there's this little range of speed that you just get this sort of ‘whoo’ noise. It's just something that kind of drove me crazy. So, we spent a considerable amount of time and effort, and resources to develop a new rear end based on the Ford 8.8 and completely resolved that problem. It's absolutely no gear noise whatsoever. Little details like that make such a difference!
