Hi, I'm Tom Scarpello of Revology Cars, and this is car# 65 - a 1967 Shelby GT500 in Inca Silver with a black leather interior. All right, so I know what you're thinking. Inca Silver, that was a Corvette color. That's right. It was a 1957 Corvette color. So, what's it doing on a ‘67 GT500? Well, it's an interesting story, and it has to do with music, specifically guitars.   Now, the owner of this car is a professional musician. One of his favorite guitars is a ‘57 Strat. Now the Stratocaster made by Fender was introduced in 1954 and quickly became extremely popular. It was used by a lot of musicians and has actually become the best-selling electric guitar of all time. Fender, and whether they realized it or not at the time, was actually doing extremely effective marketing.  A few years after it was introduced, was made it available in a lot of bright colors, which was also a brand new thing for guitars at the time, and they used the popular sports cars of the day for the color inspiration, and one of those was the Corvette, and the Inca Silver was Corvette color, and Fender did an Inca Silver Fender Stratocaster. So obviously, the Corvette immortalized as an American icon, and Fender Stratocaster was also an American icon. Today every guitarist, every serious guitarist, has a Strat. I have a Strat. Everyone's got a Strat. It's a really cool story, and man, does this color ever look sharp on this car. Really, really looks great.   So, this is our 65th car. It's our 11th GT500. It is our fourth GT500 with the Gen 3 supercharged engine, and it's our first gen 3 supercharged car with an automatic transmission, and that's the 10R80 electronically controlled automatic transmission. What can I say about this power train? Just like the manual transmission version, tremendously refined, exceptionally well-behaved, sits in idles, and traffic all day long with the AC on. No issue, just cruising around like we are right now!  It's just so smooth. And so, with this automatic, you don't give up any performance. This thing bangs off shift so quick, and with 10 gears, I mean the engine's always in its power vent, although this engine's got a massive power band. I think this engine would be fine with two gears. Roll the windows down so that you can hear the engine a little better.
