Orlando, FL (February 2020) – With the recent delivery of its 50th production vehicle, Revology Cars, the highly respected Florida-based builder of new reproduction 1960s Ford Mustangs and Shelby GTs, has achieved a major milestone.
“This is unprecedented. No other company has built as many consecutive 1960s Mustangs since Ford back in the 1960s,” says Tom Scarpello, CEO and founder of Orlando, Florida-based Revology Cars.
Since showing the first Revology Mustang at the 2015 Amelia Island Concours D’Elegance, Scarpello has carefully built up the resources and capabilities of his company, utilizing his extensive experience as an executive at several major automakers, including Ford, Jaguar, Nissan and Infiniti brands.
Achieving the 50th car production milestone is cause for celebration, says Scarpello, but just as important has been the company’s focus on improving quality and refinement.
“It takes a singular focus and significant resources to achieve the levels of refinement we have today,” Scarpello notes. “We have reached a degree of quality and refinement that matches the outstanding aesthetic and performance appeal of our cars.”
Peter Gilgan, the owner of car number 50, agrees. “This car is a pleasure to drive and certainly a pleasure to look at. Just ask me or any one of the hundreds of people who stare at it when I park it in the street.” Gilgan should know; this is his second Revology vehicle. “I didn’t think it could be any better than my first Revology ‘Stang, but this car is loaded with improvements.”
Appropriately, car number 50 is one of Revology’s most exciting models, a licensed reproduction 1966 Shelby GT350 in Candy Apple Red with Wimbledon White LeMans stripes. Powered by Ford’s 435hp Ti-VCT DOHC 5.0-Liter V8, it features an interior finished in Porsche Nappa leather, with wool carpet and brushed aluminum dash and console trim. Unlike the original, there are no vinyl or plastic surfaces in the Revology interior.
“The Revology Shelby GT350 is fast and fun to drive, but also reliable and comfortable enough to be driven daily,” says Scarpello. “Original 1960s Shelby GTs are rarely if ever used for transportation nowadays.”
